Just to clarify: Soul was giving me a rifle when I logged out (so I was receiving the rifle).

On live you can type 0 in the trade window and not have it log you out (see screenshot).

I made sure the cursor was in the credits window, and even saw "3" appear before I started typing 0's (was trying to tip 300K).
